Using What God Gave Us
So many times in life we are asked to tell about ourselves. Little things like "What do you do for a living." That is where society rates you, the money you make or the type of Job you have.
God knows us already, He doesn't have to ask. David said in Psalm 139 "I am fearfully and wonderfully made". We don't always feel like David we feel more like Gideon in Judges 6:15 when he said I am the least of the least. Yet the God of both is our God and he has made each and everyone of us for a purpose.
"What is my purpose" you might ask. The bible says on things about this it says we should glorify God. That is everyone's purpose in life is to glorify God. How we do that is what the writer of Romans was saying in Romans 12:6-8 (New International Version)
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. 7If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
God has made you wonderfully, and has given you a gift. He wants you to use it for Him and for you. This world might say "were do you work" but God says "are you using what I gave you". the world might say "you don't fit in". God says "I want you". don't live for this world that cares nothing for you. Live for God who sent his Son to die for you.
